E9 Girls take center stage

 

The Valley Jr. Warriors U10 Girls were also a number #1 seed heading into the E9 girls' playoffs with a 10-2-1 regular season. In the finals, they would go head-to-head with Lovell Winter Club.  Winter Club took the lead early in the second period, the Warriors tied it back up with 3 minutes left in the second. In the third, the Warriors turned it up a notch and scored three unanswered goals. The back-and-forth battle ended in a 5-2 win for the Jr. Warriors. The U10 girls are currently #11 in the country.

The Valley Jr. Warriors U12 girls are currently ranked #10 in the nation. They rolled into the playoffs with a perfect 13-0-1 record in the regular season. In the finals, they went up against Lovell Winter Club. The Jr. Warriors. had a dominant victory in the championship game winning 4-0. The U12’s goaltending was impressive in the playoff run allowing just one goal.

The U12 Jr. Catamounts were strong their entire playoff run, not allowing a single goal. Their dominant run continued in the championship game where they defeated the Boston Advantage 3-0. 

Coming off of winning the State Championship last season, the U14 girls put together another strong season with a 12-1-0 record in the regular season. In the finals, they were up against a Jr. Catamounts team that was riding their momentum from a 2-1 overtime thriller the night before. The Valley Jr. Warriors shut the door on the Cats in a 4-1 victory to take home the E9 title. 

The Seahawks took on the Boston Americans U14 South Championship. The Americans were off to a strong start and were leading 2-1. The Seahawks fought their way back into the game, and late in the game, they found the back of the net for the eventual GWG. The final score was 3-2.
