CPC Alumni earns Hockey East Player of the Week Honors

We’re thrilled to celebrate CPC alumni and Northeastern Senior captain Taze Thompson on her well-deserved selection as the HockeyEast Player of the Week!

In an impressive performance against Holy Cross, Thompson racked up five points over two games, leading the Huskies to a tie and a victory. She matched her career-high with three points from one goal and two assists in the tie at Holy Cross, followed by two assists in the 4-2 win at home.

This season, Thompson has already made her mark with two goals and four assists, totaling six points. Throughout her NCAA career, she has clinched three Beanpot Championships and, last season, played in all 39 games, netting 12 goals and adding eight assists for a total of 20 points.

Before her collegiate success, Thompson made waves at New Hampton, becoming the first player in history to surpass 100 career points in just two seasons and earning the NEPSAC Small School Player of the Year title. She also represented Alberta in Canada’s National Women’s U18 Championship and was selected for the Hockey Canada US National team, competing in a series against the USA in Lake Placid, NY. Additionally, she showcased her skills at the Hockey Canada National Women’s Development U18 Camp against Team Russia.
